Auburn State Recreation Area would be good. Cronan Ranch, off of 49 between Pilot Hill and Coloma, might be another choice though there's no picnic-type facilities. There's also the 4-mile Monroe Ridge trail at the state park in Coloma.

The State park in Coloma seems pretty interesting to me I like at idea. :)

Wolfstang also mentioned Scotts Flat...I wouldn't mind checking that out too. Might be a good place to stay a day, pack a lunch and a pole and see what I can catch along the bank, and some brews too.

We wanna try to shoot for Sunday the 13th for a hike? We'll call this the Sacfurs 12th Anniversary + one month furry walk-about event. Or something clever to celebrate our group's anniversary that we never did anything for last month haha!

Cool. And for those reading... I'd like to eventually try to go Kayaking with group members too that like to. Lake paddling that is. I'm not geared up for whitewater since I have a 12 footer.

Count me in for Sunday 3/13.

Kayaking would be cool (well, this time of the year, cold 8-) ) I don't own a kayak but I do have an inflatable paddle board.

I know lake Natoma does kayak rentals, and is a really decent lake to kayak. I personally want my own fishing kayak though.

Probibly going to end up with another tandem and then use the space in from for coolers and junk.

Yeah a hike this weekend may not be such a smooth idea looking at the weather...
The Sunday after this one looks promising let's consider that...For this coming weekend we may want to hit up an indoor event...anything happening the 13th?
