Making my own meet?

Unread post by Vyada » Thu Feb 19, 2015 5:03 pm

Not sure how these meet things work, but it seems like everyone kinda introduces an idea and everyone comes to a group consensus so Imma try to do my own.

I'd like to meet some of you guys in person and get a feel for the group and what it's like. So I'd like to have a group dinner with some of you guys either this weekend or next weekend. I know a great place on R street in the downtown area called "Burgers and Brew" (guess what they serve there? :P) if any of you are interested.

Yeah Vyada, that's kind of how you got to do things around here haha! Well done. I probably can't make it this weekend cause I'll be out of town Saturday. Plus it's hard for me to get all the way downtown there since I live way up in the hills. But I'm sure some of the others would be up for this meet.

Hmmm... sounds like some sort of vegan thai place?

Sadly, I'll be out of town this weekend. Someone will have to dye their hair red and go on about how great snowmews are in my stead.

I am also busy this weekend. 8:( Sorry Vyada, we're not doing this on purpose. And next weekend is Mallin's birthday so some of us may be doing that. Just a heads up. You could still try for this weekend, I'm sure some people could make it.

I'm in town this weekend! I'd love to work on my ab and get some beer and a burger. Hehe.

Not sure if I can be representative of everyone, but I try to be friendly. :3

Also - if you just say "Meet here, this time" and schedule it in advance, you can have a perfect impromptu meet. You'll know whether or not people will show up cause people will say "coming/not coming"

Sorry for the later reply. Clearly too late for this weekend (most people were gonna miss it anyways), but is next weekend ok?

Sounds alright. if you could make a post in the meet information section about it that would be great. Don't worry about being too exact with the new post. I'm happy to edit it with necessary detail as needed I just like to have meets showing as originating from the people who propose them and that's the only way our current system allows that.
